Two weeks ago I ran the Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon and I shaved three minutes off my time from last year!
How did I do that?
1. Could it be that I trained better this year than last year? Adding speed drills and hill repeats to the long runs?
2. Was it because I wasn't waiting in long lines to use the port a john? Immodium is my new best friend.
3. Or, was it beacuse the race was run on a different course than last year?
What I do know is that I shaved three minutes off my 1/2 marathon time!
It turned out to be a great race. the weather was expected to be brutal with rain predicted to start at 2am. Instead, the day started off cool and overcast. The rain never came and the sun managed to come out.
