Fannette Shawl knit-a-long

Beginning of July, Knitcircus magazine hosted a knit-a-long using one of the patterns from the summer issue. The Fannette shawl by Melissa Goodale.  I need something a little more challenging than what I was currently working on; a great sweater pattern, but the constant stockinet stitching is putting me to sleep, even if I knit while watching T.V.  So, I thought why not.  I used a skein of Madelinetosh Eyre light in color way Envy that I received in the Madelinetosh yarn club.  It’s a blend of merino wool, silk and baby alpaca.  The yarn is so soft and squishy!
